Operations Manager Position
In late August, the Board of Directors announced that the Company had hired Joe Reed to continue to fill the position of Operations Manager at Western Iowa Energy.
Joe will continue to be responsible for overseeing and scheduling production, quality control, training and supervising plant employees, and overseeing the efficiency and safety of our operation and our employees.
Joe was born and raised in Churdan Iowa where he graduated from High School. Joe attended two years of college in Fort Dodge before heading to The University of Iowa where he received a BS degree in Chemistry.
After graduation, Joe devoted two years to the Army, one of which was in Vietnam as a Combat Engineer.
Besides the four years of experience Joe already has as Operations Manager for Western Iowa Energy, Joe’s experience includes Research and Development Chemist, Production Supervisor, Plant Superintendent and Plant Manager.
